The systematic optimization and the professional manufacturing of your product are most important to us.
BOM for release
Before each initial production, you receive a Bill of Materials for release, in which the current production status is described. If you wish even after changes of the BOM. This makes it possible to identify any entry errors or interpretation errors at an early stage. With an attached reply form you can notify us of any changes.
Kuttig Electronic specializes in small batch production, where changes of Bills of Materials are common. Therefore, we are prepared for this. Until the last second before the start of the production, you can announce changes, which can all be taken into account. Any changes will be confirmed by us written to ensure that we have properly understood your amendment request. In order to reach all departments on time, the changes will be deposited in our BOMs and spread across the database to all concerned departments.
You can stop the production of your products everytime. We will coordinate with you how and when the manufacturing process will be continued. If it is necessary to abrüsten the placement machine, we will, of course, inform you about the set-up costs incurred.
You will receive a feedback report to inform you of any difficulties occurred during the production. In this report the difficulties are shown in detail, but also suggestions for improvement are made. The aim is to optimize your product in order to improve quality and reduce costs.
Automatic Data Preparation
Every day we process several Bills of Materials and import them into our database system. For this to happen as efficiently and error-free as possible, this process has largely been automated with the help of special programs.
Import of BOMs
As early as the offer phase, your Bill of Materials is exploded and recompressed according to our expectations. Thereafter, your item description is matched with our article number system via matchcode. If customer item numbers or vendor part numbers are given in the BOM, we can save and synchronize them by pressing a button. This saves time and reduces errors.
Takeover of the center coordinates (Pick & Place)
With the help of our CAM postprocessor "CAMPO", center coordinates can be read in from almost any format and compared with our Bills of Materials from the database system via the part references. Meanwhile, a plausibility check is done to find out which components are missing in the BOM. From this,
- the placement program for the placement machine
- the mathematical image for the AOI test
- the assembly drawings for THT placement
are generated. Carrying the unequipped components also simplifies subsequent changes of BOMs, because the components are present and only need to be activated.
Generating glue mask data
If necessary we can automatically produce Gerber data for the glue mask on "CAMPO" based on the center coordinates and the BOM. For this purpose, the design from the BOM will be used to set appropriate adhesive dots in the Gerber data. Alternatively, you can also provide us the data. In order to avoid that the glue gets on the pads, which would have the effect that the soldered connection would not be no longer reliable, the adhesive points have to be arranged carefully. Please contact us, we appreciate assisting you.
All documents and data which are relevant for development and manufacturing are archived by us for 10 years. Most information is stored in our SQL database system "Omnidat" and is available on press of a button to our employees - even after years. At your request, we can later evaluate and compress data, such as a list of the serial numbers that have been manufactured leaded or lead-free.
It is a matter of course for us as a service provider to keep your data and information secret. But we would like to explicitly state: "We commit ourselves to the confidentiality of your data and information". On request we can arrange a confidentiality agreement with you.
- An "active" customer interface avoids errors in the agreement
- High level of automation reduces the error rate and, therefore, the costs
- Our self-developed database "Omnidat" enforces systematics, automates standard processes and speeds up the response time
