Device assembly - The way to the final product
The device assembling completes our range of services. Well-trained and skilled workers assemble, mount and wire all the components to complete your product. Furthermore, we have two semi automatic Wire-Wrap workplaces available.
The entire product results from the integration of circuit boards in an enclosure, added by the wiring. For equipment manufacturing, we create informative assembly instructions with many photos. After commissioning and testing, a "Burn-In" or even a "Run-In" in our temperature test chamber is carried out on request. The capacity is about 5,000 units per year on average, but will vary depending on the scope of the assembly work.
- System Configuration
Individual cables or cable harnesses in small quantities are produced in our house. By using the wire processing machine Komax Kappa 220, the strands are stripped and cut to length. A wire cross-section from 0.06 mm² to 6 mm² is possible. For making the cable connections we have a wide selection of crimping tools. For larger lots, the manufacured cables are bought from longstanding partners.
The wire-wrap technology is still in use for user-specific device configurations since it offers a maximum of flexibility and reliability. At Kuttig Electronic, approximately 200,000 connections are produced annually at two semiautomatic wire-wrap places. Single conductors made of solid wire are wound around a sharp-edged square pin by using a wrapping gun. The high clamping pressure to the pin corners provides oxide-free, gas-tight contact points by cold welding. By means of of an X/Y gantry, the start and end point of an angle connection is approached. Once the assembly completed, all connections are electrically tested.
