Hardware development - Designed for manufacturing
Concept creation
Concept development means to set the course for all subsequent steps of a development project. The first step for us is to discuss your ideas, in order to make sure that your wishes can best be incorporated into the product. At this early stage of the project, we will already coordinate the test plan with you.
Selection of components
Whether SMD and / or conventional (wired) components, our procurement staff are always on the cutting edge of component availability. In consultation with you, we determine which criteria are important for your product. These include long-term availability, price, service life, temperature range, 2nd source, air pressure, height, accuracy and more. In this way an optimal price-performance ratio is ensured.
Circuit design

Already during the creation of the circuit diagram, clarity and information content are particularly important, as they are the most relevant carrier of information. We pay attention to EMC-conform designs from the outset. Our developers use the 'Altium Designer', which is a highly efficient EDA-tool. They have years of experience and are continuously trained. Here, the important goals are design for manufacturing and design for testability.
Simulation
In order to reduce re-design cycles, circuit parts are simulated as far as possible. Here, EMC behavior plays an important role alongside the function of the signal integrity.
Test concept

From the outset, the testability of the modules and their sub-functions are considered. If possible, the subsequent electrical testing of a module should be taken into account during the design phase, because it reduces the subsequent testing effort considerably. In addition to the classical approach to place test points on the circuit board, we favor the use of an inexpensive direct connector, in which the required test signals can be tapped directly.
Enclosure design
Kuttig Electronic ensures that the given boundary conditions for installation - eg the loads during operation, accessibility of plugs and usability - are optimally met. For the construction of necessary enclosures, we have experience with plastic injection molding, die-cast aluminum, sheet metal enclosures, deep-drawing processes and metalworking. For the implementation of these, we cooperate closely with reliable partners.
Your benefits
- One contact person from the idea to the finished product
- Optimal cost-performance ratio by "design to cost"
- Secured quality through "designed for manufacturing" and "designed for testability"
