Open, friendly and fair
An open, friendly and fair communication between the employees is firmly anchored in the corporate culture.
The exchange of information among the departments is promoted through regular meetings or events. The door to the CEO and his executives is always open for the employees.
Regular constructive staff appraisals serve the employees and superiors for mutual assessment. Here, the old objectives are reviewed and new ones agreed.
Periodically, the employees are informed by the CEO about current events and further planning.
Via the Kuttig-InfoDat system, an electronic bulletin board, each employee can retrieve the latest news and information in the company.
Flexitime model with flexible working hours and annual accounts
Via a modern computerized timesheet system start and end of work are individually recorded and posted to an annual flexitime account. The flexitime status can be accessed accurate to a day. This model provides flexibility in the work schedule, so that the current workload can be reconciled with the personal situation of the employee.
Regulation of rest periods
A free break scheme allows the employee to take breaks according to his personal habits and to coordinate them with private appointments. The logging of rest times is also done via the time recording system.
The amount of vacation days is significantly above the statutory framework. In the planning of company holidays the employees' wishes are taken into account.
In particular situations, the company grants special leave on the legal scope beyond.
The executives regularly work on training plans for employees. Suggestions about staff training measures are always welcome.
The canteen serves the relaxation of employees during break times and the community while eating. When the weather is nice, the adjoining terrace in the green can be used. For private use, an internet terminal is available for free.
For promoting team spirit, we regularly organize company events. Examples include the annual New Year's dinner in January and the Barbecue Party with partners and friends in summer.
In 2009, a Health Day was organized in cooperation with the Techniker Krankenkasse Aachen (TKK). Among others, relaxation and wellness were provided.
Preventing accidents has top priority. Therefore, the regular support of employees by a safety officer has been standard for many years. Should anything happen nonetheless, well-trained first responders are always available.
Extraction units at all hand soldering workstations
In addition to the necessary extractors for industial facilities, all hand soldering workstations are equipped with a professional extraction and filtration. Via flexible suction tubes the solder fumes can be directly extracted at the source.
Non Smoking Area
The entire company building is a non smoking zone. This prevents passive smoking and, thus, endangerment of the employees.
Traineeship as electronics technician for devices and systems
For more than 15 years Kuttig Electronic has qualified young people as electronics technicians for devices and systems. At the beginning there was one trainee position, then called industrial electronics engineer. Now, there are three traineeship positions in which the trainees can take their examination after 3½ years and have been taken over so far without exception.
In cooperation with the surrounding schools, we offer internship positions in order to give pupils an understanding of the profession of electronics technician. Especially in times of gaming consoles and computer games, we hope to awaken an interest of hardware.
Electronics is not only for boys! Under this motto, we offer the opportunity to experience hardware as part of the "Girls Day" for young girls from 13 years on. Assembling, soldering, switching on and measuring are on the agenda for this day.
